Singer and reality star known for hit song 'Butterfly'

Los Angeles, CA - November 24, 2023

Seth Binzer, the lead singer of the 2000s-era rap-rock band Crazy Town, has died at the age of 49. The band announced his death in a statement on social media, saying that Binzer, who went by the stage name Shifty Shellshock, died on Monday, November 21.

The cause of death has not yet been released. However, TMZ reports that Binzer died at a residence in Los Angeles and that no foul play is suspected.

Crazy Town was known for their hit song "Butterfly," which was released in 2001 and reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band also released two albums, "The Gift of Game" and "Darkhorse," before breaking up in 2003.

Binzer went on to appear on two seasons of VH1's reality show "Celebrity Rehab" and also had a role in the 2004 film "Starsky & Hutch."

Binzer's death is a tragic loss for the music community. He was a talented musician and entertainer who will be dearly missed.
